All teams will practice together at the Corbin City Pool.
The season begins the first available practice day in June and ends with the championship the last Saturday in July.
The Championship is July 26th 10-2 p.m!
The primary coach for A.M. practice is Dara Carmack and P.M. is Jonah Black (team assignment does not dictate practice times. Practice is available for everyone morning or evening). There will be additional coaches at every practice and all practices will be programmed by Jonah. This will ensure consistency and uniformity in your athlete's training.
-
Practices are NOT mandatory. More practice = a stronger swimmer, but we understand that vacations and other activities happen during the summer as well!
-
Click on your team to access their team store. The team suit is selected (not required), fins, kickboard and goggles are required and recommended types will be selected. Label all of your child's equipment. We will not have extra equipment, so please plan to bring required equipment to each practice.
-
All participating teams and athletes must be from the 606 area code. Teams are by county as seen on the 606 Association map and determined by the athlete's home address. You must register for the team that is from your home county. Due to population size, Whitley County has two teams. If you live in Whitley County you may choose between either team.
If an athlete lives in the 606 area and does not have a team in their county, they can join the "606" team closest to them in their adjacent county.
A roster for all teams must be submitted to the Association by June 12th with names, birth dates and addresses of participating athletes. Rosters for each team will be listed (athlete names only) on the website June 12th. NO ADDITIONS TO ROSTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 12th. -
Athletes must swim in one regular season meet to be eligible for the Championship on July 26th. Championship dues are $3 per athlete to compete. The championship is time finals and there is no cap on events athletes can swim. Athletes can be entered into any event they have swam legally in a REGULAR SEASON meet.
-
All regular season meets will take place on designated Thursdays at the Corbin City Pool. There is an exception if a meet is canceled due to inclement weather and there is not another available Thursday, or if we have more teams join our association.
-
You are welcome to swim in our association as well! We also welcome teams from other conferences if they are in the 606 area code and abide by the zoning rules set by our association.
